Introduction of Spun and Blended Yarn Sizing Agent
In this article, spun and blended yarn sizing agent refers to Sulphonated and Anionic Water-soluble Polyester Resin. It is in a low viscosity aqueous dispersion and can be 100% dissolved in hot water without alcohol or other solvents. It is a thermoplastic polymeric material made from the inter-reaction of terephthalic acid (PTA) with mono ethylene glycol (MEG). Another commercial name of WSP resin is Unsaturated Polyester Resin or Sulphonated Polyethylene Terephthalate.
Just as its name implies, Spun and Blended Yarn Sizing Agent can be used in the weaving application of polyester spun yarn, polyester/cotton blended yarn, polyester/viscose blended yarn.
FEATURES
1. Excellent Adhesion
Because of the similar structure to terylene, it has good adhesion to polyester yarn. Its adhesive ability is much better than starch, PVA, acrylic binders, etc.
2. Good Solubility in Water
It can easily be dissolved in hot water at 75-80℃ with no sediment and separation. And it has fine compatibility with other sizing agents, like starch, PVA, and acrylic binders.
3. Low and Stable Viscosity
It is suitable for the “high concentration, high pressure, low viscosity” sizing process with optimum penetration.
4. Size Film with Flexibility and Elasticity
The size film is smooth and transparent, and the size film is evenly disconnected during the process of stranding. The regeneration hair of stranding is less, the yarn is smooth, and the looming opening is clear, which can effectively reduce the warp yarn breakage rate and improve loom efficiency.
5. Reducing Cost
It can completely or partially replace PVA with the same performance. So the cost of the sizing process is greatly decreased. And it has a less polluting load of the water-treatment plants compared with other binders.
6. Good Degradability
It is eco-friendly and can be degraded by alcohol, water, alkali, light, and microorganism.
